Alight Episode 5 of Devil In Ohio starts with graves being dug. It’s a really beautifully shot scene, as we’re diving into the past for a brief flashback. Specifically, we’re at the Edenville Settlement in West Virginia, Autumn 1922. A man drops a bible on the floor, noticing a strange crow on the spade he’s used to dig these graves. Ominous whispering seems to entrance him, as the words “follow me” see the guy leave the graveyard....

Doctor Lawyer Episode 14 Doctor Lawyer is the latest K-Drama, boasting the talents of So Ji-sub, Shin Sung-rok, and Im Soo-hyang. The story here focuses on Han Yi-Han, an elite surgeon. He graduated at the top of the best medical school in South Korea. He specializes in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. Unfortunately, a surgery goes wrong, Yi-Han’s patient dies and he has his medical licence revoked. Fast forward 4 years and Yi-Han now works as a lawyer, specializing in medical litigation....

Staying Alive Doom at your Service episode 10 begins with Myul-Mang’s confession and Dong-Kyung deciding they should date from now on. At the same time, Ji-Na throws numerous towels at Hyun-Kyu, calling him annoying and caving to her crush’s suggestion. That afternoon, Dong-Kyung heads over to Myul-Mang’s place but he’s different now. He’s no longer wanting to watch and observe, he’s going to be more hands on. Only, Dong-Kyung backs up from him, eventually saved by a phone call from Sun-Kyung....

I’m Only Human After All Episode 15 of Doom at Your Service begins with a big revelation. Dong-Kyung’s tumour has got smaller. If this keeps up, it’ll be gone in a week. Dong-Kyung however, finds herself wondering whether everything that happened before was a dream, admiring the bright sunshine as she steps outside. Ji-Na eventually arrives to pick her up. Dong-Kyung continues to do her best to move past the memories of Myul-Mang, but it’s obviously hard for her....

The Kiss Episode 6 of Doom at your Service begins with Dong-Kyung and Myul-Mang talking about their destiny. They discuss the notion of love, with the former eventually repeating that mantra to herself while watching TV. In fact, she’s intent on separating herself from Myul-Mang and decides to move to a different room. Looking up at her with longing eyes, he asks to sleep with her. No, not like that guys....

Full of charm, a never-say-die moral and dashes of humour, Eddie The Eagle is an inspiring tale about following your dreams and never giving up. Whilst it doesn’t achieve anything that breaks the mould of the inspiring tales that have come before, its told with enough confidence to deliver a satisfying experience nonetheless. Inspired by true events, Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton) stars as the courageous, athletically inept ski jumper who, with the help of his charismatic coach (Hugh Jackman), embarks on a journey to try and get into the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics....

Before I Go Part 2 Episode 8 of Elite Season 4 picks up right where we left off last episode. Guzman and Samuel comes to blows, leading the former to tell Ari to go to hell and walk away. As Ari starts sobbing it’s hard to work out exactly what she thought their reaction would be to her bombshell reveal. Ander decides to quit school midway through the year. He’s optimistic about his future though and believes this is for the best....

Tie Me Up Episode 3 of Elite Season 5 begins with Benjamin laying down the law. After Patrick’s crazy party, Benjamin hands out drug tests for all the kids in class. A negative result will add 2 points to their overall grade. A positive one? Well, they’re going to get expelled. Naturally, this just causes the kids to rebel more, with them all throwing away the drug tests and refusing to do this....

Please Tell The Truth Episode 5 of Elite Season 5 begins with police arriving down at the lake. A beautifully sinister orchestral score picks up as Omar and Samuel agree to keep their mouth shut about Armando’s death. So much for keeping things discreet; Ivan and Ari come wandering out the woods and notice Armando lying on the ground. The police are there snapping photos but haven’t bothered to cover the corpse....

She faces prejudice and irrationality against her from her peers and through the different cases she takes on, although she also approaches them with a fresh perspective that puts her a step above her peers. As she solves cases with her own unique ways, helped in so small part by her obsession with whales, Woo Young-Woo more than shows what she’s capable of. If you’ve been following this one, you may be curious to find out when the next episode is releasing....

Ha-Roo’s Return Extraordinary You is a great example of how to take an interesting idea and run with it, adding layers of intrigue and mystery to the perfect blended recipe of comedy and drama. On the surface, Extraordinary You is another k-drama set in a school with romantic woes and slapstick comedy but underneath that facade is a much deeper and intricately layered story that continues to deliver week after week....

The Paper Plane We’re finally back to F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (YouTube, GMMTV, Viu) after the holidays. Episode 3 takes us to a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the original work as Gorya and family watch ‘Flower over Boy’ on TV, laughing about the classic trope of one falling onto another’s lips. Well, there you go. Hanging with the guys, Thyme too thinks the lip-lock could only have been intentional as he giggles to himself....
