Renewed Or Cancelled? Our Beloved Summer is a wonderful little romantic k-drama, starring both Kim Da-Mi and Choi Woo-Sik in the lead roles. Although this is an SBS Original, it’s also currently streaming on Netflix too. Generally each episode can be found there shortly after broadcast on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the hard-working subtitle team translating quickly. Birth Mother KBS2’s new 100 episode weekend drama (despite showing up on the episodes as just 1 each hour?) starts with a decent pilot introducing us to all its characters. The premise is interesting already and I can imagine that we will be offered plenty of dramatic moments throughout the months to come. Episode 1 of Homemade Love Story starts with a flashback, from 25 years ago as a woman runs away from a man carrying a baby called Seo Yeon....

The Engagement Episode 33 of Homemade Love Story starts starts after the proposal as our couple share a sweet moment and Chae-Woon puts a ring on his finger. Meanwhile, Jung-Won tells Soon-Jung that she doesn’t want Seo-Yeon to suffer anymore. Soon-Jung understands and agrees to bring Chae-Woon home with her. The latter arrives soon after and both mothers tell her it would be for the best if she went back to the villa for now....

Two New Tenants The latest episode of Homemade Love Story brings us the final two tenants of the villa which promises to cause a lot of drama going forward. The series carries on with the same pace and tone as we get to know these characters more each week. With plenty of light humour and a good dose of intrigue, the story remains interesting and enjoyable even if it can sometimes be a little predictable....

The Long Con Netflix’s latest Korean drama Hyena is a dramatic and character-driven dive into the world of law and lawyers. With two predominant lawyers going toe to toe with one another, Hyena sets the scene nicely here, peppering in some really stylish shots and editing along the way, but if you’re not into law dramas then this show is unlikely to change your mind. Some of the content feels a little slow here too and Hyena itself looks like it may well be going down the episodic route, with different cases used to diversify the episodes while keeping the tense rivalry between Geum-Ja and Hee-Jae at the centre of it all....

Classical Music Hyena is really starting to settle into its groove now and at the heart of this are the two lead dancers orchestrating the group – Geum Ja and Hee-Jae. Their chemistry is excellent and alongside some slick editing and a lovely dose of backstabbing and power plays, Hyena is a surprisingly engrossing law drama and fast becoming one of the must-watch dramas of the year. In the aftermath of the lawsuit being settled, episode 4 of Hyena begins with Chairman Ha announcing that Issume will continue to represent them....

Sneaky Truck Episode 6 of I Know What You Did Last Summer begins with Riley out in the woods, chased off Clara’s complex. After cutting her hands on the fence, she finds herself by the side of the road. However, a car chases her, sending the girl rushing through the woods. This car checks notes sneaks up on Riley and manages to knock her off her feet. Eventually that’s followed up by several blows with a knife from our killer – Riley is dead....

If You Wish Upon Me Episode 3 If You Wish upon me is the latest midweek K-drama, combining drama, romance and surprising twists together. The story itself centers on a guy called Yoon Gyeo-Rye. His life has been tough, having lived at an orphanage and spending a considerable amount of time in a juvenile detention center and prison too. Struggling to have a normal life, Gyeo-Rye begins to volunteer at a hospice after a big incident in his life....

The Family Episode 4 of In From The Cold begins with Jenny losing control of her camo-powers. While the bodies are moved and the crime scene covered up, Jenny eventually collapses on the floor, breathing heavily. Back under the disguise of Sara, Jenny tries to keep her cool. She kisses Felipe as a way of dismissing him but all it does is lead him to offer to drive her home. Unfortunately this complicates matters considerably, as Chauncey and Chris set to work covering for her....

The Brothers Episode 11 of Inspector Koo begins with Kyung-Yi reminiscing over the last time she rode a train. She sits with her husband who offers up a “Kyung-Yi special”; a medley of random food items. When K is mentioned though, Kyung-Yi flashes back to the present. Meanwhile, K helps Seong-Tae on the bridge, disguised as a helper at the park. She feigns over-the-top excitement, claiming it’s cool that he’s a politician and pretending to be really excited....

The Thing Lay Still Episode 7 of Interview with the Vampire starts this finale with a question. Can an immortal meet mortality? Louis confirms that they can. You can starve the body and deprive one of blood, or alternatively you can decapitate a vamp. But can these vampire children destroy their own? Especially one as powerful as Lestat? That’s something we’re going to find out, as Claudia and Louis plot telepathically, intent on trying to find a way to get rid of Lestat....

Malen sits with Alicia at the police station, telling her entire story and officially filing a complaint regarding the sex video released several weeks back. This, of course, sparked the unfortunate series of events that have followed across the season. Do the political party support Malen? Malen warns Alfredo that things could become heated....

Who You Calling Ugly? Episode 3 of Invincible begins with all our different superheroes gathering together to mourn the death of the Guardians. Omni-Man leads the press conference, promising to use the Guardians as inspiration to lead a new team of heroes forward. This ceremony is all for show though, as Nolan takes the others aside for a more intimate ceremony, one that shows where the heroes are really being buried....

A Disappointing Horror That Never Fullfils Its Potential Tense, claustrophobic but ultimately a little disappointing, It Comes At Night is a film that starts brightly but slowly fades as the film progresses. Its not that it lacks the atmosphere needed to bring its story to life, quite the opposite – the film is dripping in tension. The issue lies with its plot that never quite hits the right notes to make it a compelling watch or deliver any sort of real scares that justify it being a horror, making it particularly difficult to classify this as one....
